Wrapping Up 2024

As this year comes to a close, we’re reflecting on all the successful collaboration achieved in Confluence. So, to go out with a bang, let’s highlight some news, content, and announcements of 2024.

Our Confluence Highlights

This year, Atlassian and the Confluence teams provided more updates, features, and news than one could possibly count. Here are our top 3 announcements of the year by Atlassian.

The Year Automation Took Over Confluence

The Confluence Automation team was unstoppable this year. They shipped updates nearly every week. In fact, there was so much to cover that we had to invite the product manager, Avinoam Z., to our  live streams to cover everything in detail. Let’s see what’s coming in 2025—whatever it will be, you’ll read it here first.

AI Innovations from Atlassian: Rovo and Beyond

We talked about how to master Atlassian Intelligence right at the beginning of this year. Since then, Atlassian Intelligence has improved a lot. But not only that—it took Atlassian only six months to announce and ship its new product, Rovo. With Rovo, you can cross-search across all Atlassian products and third-party apps.

Unlocking Databases in Confluence

Another feature that impressed us this year was Confluence Databases. We actually invited the product manager Christina R. twice to our live streams to cover all the new topics and use cases you can address with Databases. Go check them out—they’ll really make your team’s life easier in 2025.

Our Year in Review

We hope you enjoyed this year with us as much as we did with you. We received a lot of great personal feedback from you back in April at Team ‘24 in Las Vegas and other events. Here are some of the things we’ve provided for you this year.

Bringing Atlassian Insights to You Live

This year, we hosted 8 live streams with different Atlassian product managers to bring valuable insights, news, and sneak peeks into Atlassian features like Confluence Databases, Automations, Whiteboards, and even Loom. You shaped the live streams with us by engaging, asking questions, giving feedback, and having fun. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do and look forward to seeing you in the next one.

Revamping Our Collaboration Hub in 2024

We haven’t really talked about it, but you might have noticed—we’ve revamped our Confluence Collaboration Hub quite a bit. We organized our content into courses for a better overview, highlighted the latest added content right at the top, and now you can easily read the last issue of  Weekly Dose of Confluence on the web if you want to revisit it or share it with a friend. By the way, we have a raffle currently running until January 15th for all new subscribers to win a PlayDate.

16 Ways We Helped You Master Confluence

We published 16 videos to provide you with Confluence Database use cases, a tutorial series on how to get started with Confluence Cloud, and, of course, best practice videos about our Confluence highlights: Confluence Databases, Atlassian Intelligence, and more.

In addition to reflecting on these highlights, we’d also like to reflect on a wonderful year!

FYI, this is our last newsletter for the year. So, from our team to yours, we wish you a truly wonderful holiday season and a great start to the new year!
