Let's dive in!

Better Your Blogs

In last week’s newsletter, we discussed a few ways to use blogs in Confluence. Blogs are valuable, but they can easily go unnoticed or get buried among the rest of your content. You might also face the challenge of low engagement, leaving you wondering why people aren’t interacting with your posts.

This time, we’ll share our insights on how to take your blogs to the next level. At K15t, we use blogs for all sorts of reasons, including internal announcements, personal updates, self-expression, and more. Blogs foster a sense of community and openness among colleagues, helping us understand one another better and, therefore, work more effectively together.

Leveling Up Your Blogs

Here are some tips we recommend when using blogs:

Promote and Share: Sometimes, publishing isn’t enough—you want to make sure you reach your audience. In addition to publishing blogs, we also share them (when relevant) in the company-wide Slack channel. This ensures that everyone knows the content exists.

Encourage Interaction: Confluence is a collaboration tool, and that includes blogs. Comments and discussions allow team members to exchange ideas, provide feedback, and ask questions, making the blog a dynamic space for knowledge sharing.

Use Labels: Adding dedicated labels to your blogs helps organize them for future reference. Labels cluster related information together, making it more accessible. For instance, if you want a collection of all policy updates in one place, labels will group them, making them easy to find.

Make it Fun: When a blog post is enjoyable to read, people are more likely to stay with it until the end. Avoid business jargon, and consider adding humor or light-hearted elements to grab the reader's attention and keep them engaged.

Using these tips will help you make the most out of your blogs in Confluence. Do you have a favorite tip you'd like to share with us? Let us know by replying to this email. 💭
