Prompts that Power-Up Atlassian Intelligence in Confluence
Atlassian Intelligence, and soon Rovo, provide teams with a virtual teammate that can really help them elevate their game. These AI-powered tools can take actions quickly, create new content, and update existing content in the blink of an eye. And while Atlassian Intelligence is very capable, the secret to unlocking its full potential lies in the prompts you use.
At K15t, we’ve been exploring some powerful prompts for Atlassian Intelligence and Rovo, which we’ll be sharing at Team ‘24 Europe. And of course we wanted to share some of these with you ahead of time. Yes, get excited—it’s a sneak peek!
Learn While You Proofread
You’ve probably already used Atlassian Intelligence or another AI tool to proofread your content. We do it all the time, including with this very newsletter! But one of the things you lose when content is automatically corrected is the ability to learn from it. Especially if you’re trying to improve your writing skills, you can use a specific prompt to ask Atlassian Intelligence to identify issues, but instead of automatically fixing them, ask it to create a list highlighting each one so you can manually correct them and learn in the process:
You could try asking: “You’re an English proofreader, review this blog post and ensure there are no grammatical errors. If you do find errors, show them to me in bold and suggest how I can fix them, but do not make the change. I want to manually change them myself. In your fix suggestions, speak to me in simple terms, like I’m learning English.”
Learn What Tone to Use
Sure, there are a few quick options for changing the tone of some content you've written, but how do you know which tone actually is best for the message you’re trying to deliver? Additionally, there are many more tones than the ones you can quickly select from the Atlassian Intelligence menu. So, how can you figure out your options?
You can use this prompt to ask Atlassian Intelligence to read through your content and suggest which tone or tones are appropriate. You can then use this information to prompt it to rewrite the content in the tone of your choosing. This gives you much more control over exactly what tone to strike in the rewritten content.
You could try asking: “What tones might be best for this blog post?”
There are many more prompts you can use to make Atlassian Intelligence and Rovo powerful virtual teammates. Respond to this email and let us know which prompts you’ve found particularly helpful. We hope you join our session at Team ‘24 Europe on October 9 at 4:00 PM, where we’ll explore eight more powerful prompts just like these.
